Our Story:
Founded with the vision of serving humanity through Islamic principles of mercy and generosity, Hajr Projeti Uganda is more than just a charity – it is a movement of faith and compassion. We are guided by the Qur’an and Sunnah to reach out to the most vulnerable: those without food, shelter, water, and education.
Why Uganda?
Uganda is home to many struggling families who lack access to clean water, proper education, and sustainable livelihoods. In rural communities, widows and orphans are often left behind. Hajr Projeti Uganda stands in this gap, offering relief, empowerment, and spiritual guidance.
What We Do

Water Well Projects
Access to clean water is a right, not a privilege. Through your donations, we build wells in remote areas where families walk miles every day just to fetch unsafe water. Each well provides life, health, and hope to entire villages.

Mosque Construction
Mosques are not only houses of prayer but also centers of learning and community unity. We build mosques where none exist, giving Muslims a place to worship, learn, and grow together.

Orphan Support
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise” (holding his two fingers together).
We provide orphans with daily meals, school support, and clothing so they can grow up with dignity and hope for a brighter future.

Ramadan Feeding
In the blessed month of Ramadan, we serve meals to fasting families, ensuring no one goes hungry during iftar. Your donations allow us to reach thousands every year with warm food and joy.

Zakat Distribution
Zakat purifies wealth and uplifts the poor. We ensure that your zakat reaches the rightful beneficiaries – orphans, widows, the needy, and struggling families – in a transparent and impactful way.

Widows’ Support
Widows often face extreme hardship, raising children without financial support. We step in to provide them with food, small business support, and empowerment projects so they can live with dignity.

Qurbani & Animal Sacrifice
During Eid al-Adha, we facilitate qurbani and distribute fresh meat to poor families who rarely taste it during the year. Your sacrifice becomes their blessing.

Qur’an Education
We organize Qur’an classes for children and youth, ensuring that the next generation grows up with strong faith, knowledge, and Islamic values.
